FindMySeller.com Releases Online Directory of eBay Sellers
STOCKTON, California -- August 26, 2008
Citing the critical need for open information in Internet commerce, FindMySeller.com today announced the launch and immediate release of its online directory of eBay merchants. The Find My Seller(SM) directory lets people use an eBay ID to find key information about their favorite seller. Searching is free, and its free to add ordinary listings. Sellers may opt to have their data uploaded to Google Base to further improve search visibility. Support for other venues is slated.
Mark Gealy, founder of FindMySeller.com, elaborated on the need for open information.
"Open marketplaces provide the best opportunity for merchants to thrive and for buyers to find the best bargain. Some online venues aggressively bar open communication between merchants and their customers. They do this to pad their profits. The consequence is higher cost and reduced selection for the buying public. With this directory, people now have a way to communicate without confinement."
Sellers are invited to register and post links to their unrestricted About Me page, a contact email, with descriptions and links for their other websites.
Buyers are invited to seek their favorite sellers here and discover what a merchant fully offers.
FindMySeller.com was unveiled as a "sneak preview" July 23 and was posted for public testing August 1.
The Find My Seller directory is available for immediate and widespread use and fosters an open online marketplace.
