Getting Started With LMS

Learning Management Systems (LMS) can be any of three types (see below) but the principle of each is the same — to provide an online platform from which you can deliver courses, trainings, challenges, and other e-learning programs. The components, delivery methods, and content types will vary, as will complexity and degree of difficulty to install, setup, and manage. I provide both done for you and done with you service packages to provide you with as little or as much assistance as you need.

WordPress Plugins

A WordPress website is a great choice for the foundation of your online presence. It can provide for most of your needs including a robust Learning Management System for course and training program distribution.

There are several great plugins for adding LMS capability to a WordPress Website. The difficulty lies in choosing the right one for your needs. I am familiar with several of them and can work with you to choose the right one for your needs and then get it installed and set up correctly.

2 3rd-Party SAAS Platforms

There are many third-party LMS service platforms available on the Internet that all promise to deliver exactly what you need. Promises and realities are not always the same thing, however.

I am experienced with many of these platforms, the good and the bad, and I can help you choose, configure, and add your content to the one that is best suited for your requirements. Making the right choice, consistent with your needs, will save a lot of grief in the long run.

3 Custom Solutions

While custom solutions can sound like a more expensive option, this is not always the case. I have built custom LMS solutions for individual services, including my own signature programs, and for bulk course delivery services like thr1versity™ Digital Learning Experience.

Done For You Service – I will help you find the right LMS platform for your specific needs and then I will handle the entire installation, setup, and configuration process, including handling the course content addition initially and ongoing as required.
Done With You Service – I will provide any of the Done For You Service aspects as required, assisting you as you handle the bulk of the process yourself. I am there to guide and train you as required, and to step in and do the bits you need more help with.
