On of the best marketing tools eBay provides for their sellers, and free of charge to boot, is the About Me page. Sadly, many eBay sellers, perhaps the majority, don't make use of this excellent tool.

The eBay About Me page (often called a "profile" page on other sites) is a place where you can write about who you are, what you sell, and show pictures and even videos of your items. You can link to key listings, show your feedback, and even list (with certain limitations) to off-eBay sites.

Smart use of your About Me page is always a winner. Google seems to index About Me pages better than they do your eBay listings so it's a great way to get more exposure there. You have more control over the content of the About Me page so you can better optimize it for search engines.
