Years ago I was given a book to read by Neil Eskelin called "Yes Yes Living in a No No World". It was written in Eskelin's usual easy-going, straight-forward way providing a practical, yet simple, formula for visualizing your sucess before it actually becomes a reality for you. Eskelin walks you through those steps you can use to overcome the multitude of negatives that bombard each of us throughout our day-to-day lives. The book goes beyond the normal "positive affermation" approach and guides the reader towards fulfilling their own personal goals.
It's a good read that will never be out of date but Eskelin's book is not the focus of this article. I only mention it as the reasoning behind my title and on the off chance that you might be interested in reading it yourself.
It seems to me that the environment for selling these days has become a "No No" one of it's own. Everywhere we turn, it seems, there is another roadblock obstructing your way, another negative getting you down, another impediment to your selling success. It's a difficult world at best. It is a difficult time in which to try and make a living -- or even just a little extra -- through your own efforts with an online business.
But, just as Eskelin tells his readers in regard their personal attitudes and spiritual life, so you must visualize your success, feel your goals, believe in your results before you actually realize them. It is this positive outlook that will buoy you up, keep you above the fray, and allow you to better focus your efforts towards what you will need to do to build your business in a positive direction and reach your own level of success in spite of what is transpiring around you.
Yes Yes selling takes more focus, more commitment, more attention to detail, then, perhaps, you may have expected you would to need to apply to your business but it will be worth the effort in the end. You will rise above those who are wringing their hands and seeing each new negative only for how it will impede their easy progress. But, because of your extra effort, your deeper commitment, you will stand apart. You will have the focus necessary to find your footing amidst the obstacles and pit falls that confront you. You will apply clear thinking. Indeed you will think outside the proverbial box and the find new answers to old questions, the new ways to do old things, and those new things you can do as you move forward on your path to success.
It takes more effort, of course, but a Yes Yes approach will always win over a No No attitude!
