Private Label Rights Content

In addition to scouring the web gathering information and then rewriting existing content, you can also just "buy" content that you can publish as is, or rewrite and publish as your own.

This type of content is called "private label rights" content, or "PLR" content.

So ... today's content writing strategy is:

REWRITE PLR ARTICLES

As stated above, PLR stands for Private Label Rights. What a PLR article service often does is leverage group buying power by hiring professional writers to write content, then selling a limited number of the same content to members (e.g. 150, 500 or 1,000 copies). For example, if you need Travel-related articles, you can become a member of a Travel PLR content site, and you will then receive new articles each month on various travel-related topics.

PLR content generally gives you the right to do a number of things like edit, reformat and repurpose the content, publish it with your name as the author, etc. Typically you will receive a list of what you can and can't do with the content (your usage rights).

Although you can publish PLR content "as is" on your site, it's always best (and strongly recommended) that you consider editing and rewriting PLR articles, because a number of other members of your PLR site will also own the exact same content as you.

*** 10 Simple Ways To Modify PLR Content ***

You don't need to completely rewrite PLR content, but we recommend making small adjustments to ensure that you have a completely unique article.

At best, you should review, edit and rewrite as much of the article as you feel is necessary to feel comfortable putting your name on it, and to ensure its uniqueness. At the very least, you should give the article a new title and add your own introduction or rewrite the opening.

Please note: PLR articles can vary greatly in quality, so make sure you check out the supplier thoroughly before you commit to spending any money on PLR content.

Here are 10 simple ways to modify PLR content and make it unique:

1. Add an introductory paragraph or two to the content with your unique point of view. Do the same thing at the end. Add a paragraph with a conclusion, additional recommendation, bonuses for purchasing products through your site, etc.

2. Go through the content and edit it or reformat it to suit your own personal taste and style (i.e. give it your own "voice".)

3. Find related products or services you can promote in the content as an affiliate. If these provide affiliate promotional materials (e.g. banner ads, videos, emails, etc.), incorporate some of the promotional content for these products into your content.

4. Create or add a worksheet, checklist or a relevant special report that your readers can download after going through your content.

5. Change or add images, photos, etc. There are many sites where you can purchase royalty-free stock images or find free images to use in your content.

6. Add additional elements like relevant statistics, facts, quotations, charts, graphs, diagrams, infographics etc.

7. Add examples from your own personal experience or case studies.

8. Add an additional links/resources section at the end of your content. Include useful links to additional resources, tools and products that your target audience would be most interested in knowing about.

9. Use the PLR content or sections of it as additional information to existing content you've already created.

10. Convert your PLR content into slide-based videos or audio files, compile different topic-related articles into a downloadable report for your newsletter subscribers, add PDF versions of articles to document sharing sites like Slideshare, etc.

*** Where To Find Quality PLR Content ***
